It’s engagement season and one trend we are noticing is that many couples are wanting to incorporate their love of beer into the wedding day. Here are some great ideas for how to plan a beer themed wedding in the Austin and Texas Hill Country area.
Have Your Wedding At A Brewery
It goes without saying that a venue sets the stage for the overall aesthetic of a wedding. So, there’s no better way to incorporate beer into a wedding theme than having your wedding at a brewery. We are in luck in the Austin, Texas area to have some great options in this regard. Some of our favorites are Jester King Brewery’s new Event Hall in Dripping Springs, Texas. The setting is quintessential Texas with great outdoor scenery, a big barn aesthetic and outstanding barrel aged beer.
Just down the road in Fredericksburg, Texas is Alstadt Brewery. This new brewery, set on 120 acres in the middle of the Texas Hill County, makes Bavarian style beer in giant copper stills. They offer 3 different settings to host your wedding in: a German-style Biergarten (super cool!), a large event hall, a private garden and a 2,000 square foot cellar.
If you’re in the mood for a little whiskey with your beer, head on out to Treaty Oak Distillery & Brewery. They have an awesome rustic vibe with craft cocktails, craft beer and a great in-house restaurant.
Rent The Silvercloud Beer Trailer
If you are going to serve your guests beer at your wedding, a really unique and fun way is with the Silvercloud Beer Tap Trailer. Our trailer serves up to 4 different types of craft beer, cider, prosecco and wine that is served ice cold with our flash chilled delivery system. You can also add on the Bubbly Bar to the opposite side of the trailer to serve Mimosas and other Signature Cocktails from. Our packages are very flexible. We can source the kegs and provide TABC bartenders or we can serve the kegs that you provide.
Round Up Some Beer Burros
Another fun option for serving bottled beer is to hire a Beer Burro or Beer Donkey service. The services have specially trained donkeys with baskets full of cold beer on their back that make the rounds to guests tables at weddings. We are BLESSED in Austin to have amazing craft beer to choose from. Some of our favorites that we recommend to clients are the Stash IPA from Independence Brewing Company, AWB Pearl Snap, Celis Pale Bock and the Superliner IPA from The AGBG.

Ask you floral designer to weave in hops or wheat into your wedding bouquet and boutonnieres. They are both very pretty and should work well with many different color palettes.
